A little homeschool history:
We homeschooled up until January 3rd of 2009, giving it up temporarily to give our high-functioning autistic son the structure and peer modeling he was missing at home. Both our kids are now in a wonderful public school and while the situation does have it's drawbacks, they're thriving and seem very happy with their teachers and classmates.
We're planning on bringing the kids back home in a couple years. In the meantime I'm trying to develop (or find) a Christian homeschooling community or social networking opportunity that will provide friendship and support to our entire family and the special needs we face.
What I do from home:
I babysit my 2 year old niece full-time, am an Independent Distributor for SendOutCards, and an avid blogger who earns a few extra dollars through affiliate marketing. Additionally I have a Cafe Press store, an Amazon site where you can purchase books for your homeschool and several Squidoo lenses, just for fun!
